Türk Telekom started a new service called “Audio Books” with the help of GETEM from Boğaziçi University. It’s a service for visually-impaired people that reads hundreds of books when person called a specific phone number, which is 0800 219 91 91(for its commercial [1]). It’s a superb idea and superb work from GETEM and Türk Telekom. It’s socially responsible and very thoughtful project for humanity. I want to support both organizations in any means necessary on this project. Bravo Türk Telekom! Bravo GETEM from Boğaziçi University!

Mobile World–Can Microsoft Survive?

Mobile World–Can Microsoft Survive?

Nov 23

In the last decade , people always talk about crash and burn of Microsoft in the mobile world. I mostly agreed with them until nowadays. I don’t know how but Microsoft really messed up many things in online and also mobile worlds. A huge IT company should not have been done the mistakes of Microsoft, it doesn’t really suit the profile and class of the company. Who created the most user friendly and easy to use operating system should not make a mobile operating system as bad as Windows Mobile. Microsoft couldn’t see the rise of the mobile world until they saw the shares of Internet attached devices using Windows in 2010 and 2011 and so they did not make the expected movements and give necessary importance to it.

You’re going to find different speakers from different sectors who stands out with their successes in their areas.  Until now I have found lots of chances to share my knowledge in some conferences and private seminars in technical and non-technical manner. But TED talks have separate ambiance and aim inside it. Maybe one day I can get the stage to share my past experience with community, who knows it Winking smile The best side of the link is periodic updates over documentSmile There are currently 875 session records inside it with different categories. What was in Bilisim Zirvesi 2010?

What was in Bilisim Zirvesi 2010?

Nov 04

After a long while, I have found some time to write my opinions about Bilisim Zirvesi 2010 event. The main theme of the event was ‘Game Starts Again’. I think that sentence is the summary of the main theme, ‘The rules had changed, ‘GAME STARTS AGAIN’ for the second 10th years part of 21st Century’. The second day of the event was nearly a waste of time for me, but with an exception. I really enjoyed listening to Levent Erden’ s speech about new media on second day. Actually he is against using the term ‘new’ while talking about new media and I definitely agree with his words… But what about the first day?Thinking smile
